Tally Ho Mates!
Well, I'm off to London on Friday morning, and there is far too much to do in the next few days to allow me time to post to the blog. That also explains the dearth of posts in the last few days.
I return on August 18, so tune in then for news on the trip and whatever other random musings have been floating around in my head as of late.

OK, I have no idea what your itenerary is, but I have one recommendation of things you MUST DO in London, if there is any way you can make the time.
Take the tube to the White Chapple Library, it's really easy. Go to the library counter, and ask for the Janet Cardiff CD. It's an audio tour of the neighborhood, but much weirder, and better. It's surreal and fabulous. An amazing mix of fiction and reality. I think the tour itself is about an hour long, maybe 90 minues. It's a neighborhood you're not likely to discover otherwise. Really, really worthwhile.
Realsupergirl & I first discovered Janet Cardiff in Montreal--the Modern Art Museum there was doing a HUGE show of her work when we were there. We were excited for the opportunity to take another of her tours.
Really, you must.
Love,
kaphine
Oh yeah, if we've got time we'll do that. We've only got about 4 days in London (the rest of the time in Exeter or Stratford), so if it gets scratched it will simply be due to time.
We will be seeing the Jerry Springer Opera, which I'm sure I'll post a review of after the fact. Also, Ryan (of Resident Evil fame) will be in town, so we'll try to get together with him.
Your birthday present will be belated, as I haven't had a chance to get it together yet, and we won't be returning to the states until August 17.
