With the return of the new TV season comes the return of the ultimate Game Show Ho, KenJen.
Here are some questions I've been pondering as I watch his further quest for world domination through stupid trivia:

- At what point do they stop introducing him as "software engineer" and start introducing him as "former software engineer, and now on a quest to take over the world through game shows"?
- Are they seeing a drop in applicants since KenJen took the throne? I know as interested as I might be to make it on the show (although Millionaire is much more my style), I'd never try out if there was a snowballs chance in hell I'd face this savant.
- When will they wise up and realize how stupid it was to take away the five win rule, and reimplement it, so we can get on with our lives?

Hmmm... perhaps "software engineer" is the new "brain surgeon" catchy identifier? Maybe it's in his contract?
I agree that the five game rule should return. The show has its official publicity stunt and needs to move on.

Of course, "software engineer" could easily be one of those usefully ambiguous euphamistic titles that could imply a lot more or a lot less that what he really is ... like "consultant" or "sanitation engineer".

I know of at least one scary-smart bartender who went down to Columbus to try out recently. If they ever asked him why he wanted to be on, his plan was to say "MUST TAKE OUT KEN." He's been a little bummed at the circulating rumors that Ken's streak has been blown.
